This workshop will provide an overview of the different kinds of major/programs, accreditation considerations, portfolio requirements, and answer your questions about the application process.

Ideation and Careers in Art and Design

Ideation is the process of generating ideas and solutions through sessions such as sketching, researching, prototyping, brainstorming, and a wealth of other ideation techniques. This session will help you transition from identifying problems to creating solutions to strengthen your portfolio. Representatives will also provide examples of career pathways within the fields of art and design.

Our Summer Intensive Studies program allows high school students ages 16 to 18 to gain college credit while pursuing their creative goals. We have courses in animation, fashion, architectural design, printmaking, game design, photography, and more. Students can also take our portfolio development course to prepare for the college application process. Our programs offer hands-on, skill-based learning and interact directly with renowned Parsons faculty.
