Summer Pre-College Virtual Program Fairs – 2021

The Association for Pre-College Program Directors is proud to present the 2021 Summer Pre-College Program Fairs. A series of virtual events that provide students and families the opportunity to learn about academic summer programs at top US college and universities.


Representatives from Johns Hopkins Engineering  (Explore Engineering Innovation and Biomedical Engineering Innovation) will be at the fairs on:

At the fairs, attendees may:

  • Visit virtual booths, where questions can be asked via text or video chat with summer program representatives.
  • View helpful webinars on how to choose a summer program, how to strengthen applications, how to make the most out of the summer program experience.

Medicine Work Experience

This work experience is recommended for students aged 14-19, considering careers in medicine & healthcare. A new series of Dr OJ’s Surgery is taking place every Saturday in February. Additionally, students will be given an interactive experience of ENT, Ophthalmology, Rheumatology and the Respiratory departments in hospitals.


Every Saturday in February- 12pm – 2pm GMT & available to watch anytime afterwards, as well. Students can enrol below and will receive a certificate for their participation:

Biomedical Engineering Innovation – High School Students

Students who excel in math and science have an extended invitation designed for students curious in science. Johns Hopkins Biomedical Engineering Innovation offers a challenging and fun online course that sparks an interest in engineering and STEM exploration.

This opportunity will help future students earn college credit with more advanced students currently studying. Applications are being accepted for the January 25, 2021 course, so there is still time to apply!


Johns Hopkins faculty created the Biomedical Engineering Innovation course to encourage creativity and instill confidence in students. In the course, students will model human efficiency and the cardiovascular system and design experiments to test these models and more. And students have the opportunity to earn college credit and strengthen their college applications!

Summer Programs 2021

Les Roches planning for the year ahead includes re-establishing their portfolio of Summer Programs, which were badly missed by both faculty and our young participants this year. Find out more about Summer programs for 2021 at Glion or Les Roches 

All programs are fortunately still being taught in a face-to-face environment. But for those that have not made it to campus yet or would need to quarantine they have developed a blended learning option. The Glion Connect & Les Roches Connect programs are a state-of-the-art approach to ‘virtual’ study. Les Roches mixes live online tutorials and demonstrations, videos, one-to-one coaching and mentoring, plus interactive games and challenges & even extra-curricular activities!

Immerse Education Essay Competition

I am excited to announce that The Immerse Education Essay Competition once again offers students the opportunity to win a 100% scholarship for one of Immerse Education’s award-winning residential or online academic programmes.
