Students can also find out more about further enhancements to Connect, the bespoke remote study platform; plus there is a new global innovation sphere that’s been launched by Les Roches.

With Spark, Innovation has a new home at Les Roches

Innovation and entrepreneurship have always been at the core of the Les Roches DNA. Now students are being given the tools to create the hospitality industry of tomorrow, with the launch of Spark, the innovation sphere by Les Roches.

Spark will:

  • Inspire students with expert insights from faculty, alumni and guest speakers, alongside cutting-edge technologies they can reach out and touch.
  • Ignite students’ creativity and entrepreneurial instincts, as they are invited to develop and test new hospitality solutions in living laboratories.
  • Incubate disruptive ideas and businesses developed by students and hand-picked start-ups.

A global program with physical hubs in Les Roches’ Crans-Montana and Marbella campuses, Spark permeates throughout the entire academic curriculum; cementing innovation and entrepreneurship as a foundation of the Les Roches Way of Life.

Connect remote learning is now enhanced and expanded

While face-to-face teaching continues to be at the heart of our educational ethos, we appreciate that current circumstances mean some Bachelor (BBA) students are unable or unwilling to join us on campus. These students are invited to begin their studies from home, using Connect, the bespoke remote learning platform which is shared by Glion and Les Roches.

For their next student intake, the Connect platform has been further enhanced to offer two study choices for the first semester of each school’s BBA program:

  •  Connect BBA 10+10 – first 10 weeks studied remotely, followed by 10 weeks on campus
  • Connect BBA 20 – full 20 week semester taught remotely

Both options deliver the same learning outcomes as a full semester taught on campus!

Glion will host a talk on March 24th on the Glion and Les Roches Connect program to present the Blended Learning options at Les Roches and Glion.

A taste of École Ducasse

On Monday May 10th students can join online for a special presentation of École Ducasse, the international center for culinary and pastry arts training that became part of the Sommet Education family in 2019. Founded by the legendary chef, Alain Ducasse, École Ducasse teaches students from across the world at its two campuses in France. Programs range from two-month Essentials courses to three-year Bachelor degrees, with a majority offering English language tuition.
