This work experience is recommended for students aged 14-19, considering careers in medicine & healthcare. A new series of Dr OJ’s Surgery is taking place every Saturday in February. Additionally, students will be given an interactive experience of ENT, Ophthalmology, Rheumatology and the Respiratory departments in hospitals.

There is increased competition for international students seeking to study medicine at British universities in 2021. A direct application to Brunel offers an additional opportunity to aspiring doctors who want to enrol next year. The MBBS at Brunel is only open to international students, creating a new pathway for those who want a UK medical qualification. The number of medical school seats for international students in London is at a premium. The Brunel University programme offers a fantastic opportunity for aspiring doctors who want the added convenience and experience of studying and living in one of the world’s most connected capitals.
Applications can be made directly and 100% free with Medical Doorway giving applicants another option aside of the four they will have already made through UCAS.
For the 2021 admission, A-level candidates will be required to gain an AAB which must include Biology or Chemistry plus one additional science from Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Maths. IB candidates should have, or be expected to achieve, a total score of at least 33 points with Higher Level 6 and Higher Level 5 in either Chemistry or Biology and a second science (Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Mathematics). Currently UCAT or BMAT is NOT required.
In 2021, ten scholarships of up to £30,000 will be available. This will reduce the current annual tuition fee of £40,000 to £34,000 per year for the five years of the MBBS.
While applications are still being accepted, the medical school have already commenced shortlisting those who have already applied. Therefore we strongly advise students to commence the application as soon as possible.

Hosted live from the UK and watched across the world, students are able to learn about their future careers and take part in interactive sessions where they can gain some experience to help them in their university applications.
There’s a range of different career days for them to choose, from medicine, aviation, law, business, veterinary careers and many more, there’s a career day to suit all students.
