Lancaster University – Science Week 2021

For all the budding Scientists in your schools The Faculty of Science and Technology at Lancaster University will be hosting Science Week 2021, a series of online talks! Students, parents, teachers are welcome to join Lancaster for an exciting week of free online webinars from the University’s Faculty of Science and Technology on the theme of “change”. Taking place from 12th – 16th April, Science Week 2021 brings together university researchers from a diverse range of fields to share their cutting-edge research with the public.


Hear about the search for dark matter, using AI to improve wind energy production, the challenges of designing clinical trials during a pandemic and more. There’s something for everyone, and students will have the chance to ask questions and engage with university researchers – so come along and invite some change!


Keynote Speaker: Professor David Halpern, Chief Executive of the Behavioural Insights Team

To kick off the week, welcoming keynote speaker Professor David Halpern, who leads the Behavioural Insights Team in using behavioural science to inform policy and improve people’s lives, as he asks ‘can behavioural science make the world a better place?’

Summer Journalism Program | Boston University

As some programs are ending applications for their summer programs, Boston unis are still accepting applications on a rolling basis until June. If students who are interested in writing or exploring careers in media and communications, suggest they apply to our online Boston University Summer Journalism Academy.


In the Writing and Reporting sessions, their award-winning journalists work with students to show them how to follow facts and get to the heart of stories affecting their communities. Students will have the option to publish one of their stories on our Academy’s website, The Terrier , for their college admission portfolios.

Do you have students who want to explore their creative side? Suggest they apply to one of our Photojournalism sessions. Instructor and veteran photojournalist, Stephen Haines, will help students sharpen their camera skills to teach them the basics of visual storytelling.


No matter what session students select, they will learn practical skills that they can apply to any career. Two-week sessions begin on June 21, July 5, and July 19. Students have the option of picking which session(s) they would like to attend.

Hotel School Maastricht – Update!


This is the introduction for all new students to the city of Maastricht. It will allow students to get to know lots of people and enjoy all the city has to offer. From a museum, to a good party! It takes place mid-August. Not compulsory, but highly recommended. Check out their website.



Boostcamp will be giving students a boost to get started with life and study at HMSM! They will get to know all their fellow students, do fun workshops and visit some amazing hotels. This will leave them inspired! Boostcamp is usually in the last week of August or first week of February. It is compulsory, but students wouldn’t want to miss out!


Buddy system:

The buddy programme will help students to kick start life in Maastricht with fellow classmates. They’ll enjoy a monthly event in the first semester to explore life outside of campus. On the programme are fun things such as a wine tasting, pub quiz or tour across Maastricht.

Bocconi University: Spring Session


On 26 March Boncconi is hosting a webinar where it will focus on Bocconi BSc programs and on the application process for this Spring Session. During this event details on the application timeline and requirements, together with their academic offers and student life.
