With Spark, Innovation has a new home at Les Roches

Connect remote learning is now enhanced and expanded

While face-to-face teaching continues to be at the heart of our educational ethos, we appreciate that current circumstances mean some Bachelor (BBA) students are unable or unwilling to join us on campus. These students are invited to begin their studies from home, using Connect, the bespoke remote learning platform which is shared by Glion and Les Roches.

For their next student intake, the Connect platform has been further enhanced to offer two study choices for the first semester of each school’s BBA program:

  •  Connect BBA 10+10 – first 10 weeks studied remotely, followed by 10 weeks on campus
  • Connect BBA 20 – full 20 week semester taught remotely

Both options deliver the same learning outcomes as a full semester taught on campus!

Glion will host a talk on March 24th on the Glion and Les Roches Connect program to present the Blended Learning options at Les Roches and Glion.

If not able to attend the presentation, watch these videos to discover more about this state-of-the-art approach to virtual study. Students can also find more information in dedicated program page in Connect – Glion and Connect – Les Roches.

How to ace the HMSM selection procedure!

We’re a selected entry programme. Out of more than 1400 applications we select 390 students. No doubt about it, preparation is key! Five golden tips for your students to prepare like a pro:

  1. Know what the selection procedure entails and stick to the assignment. Don’t make the essay a motivational letter!
  2. Read up on cool & short hospitality articles in the newsletter of Ehotelier.
  3. Attend an open day. Think about how the pillars and values of the school match with you. Build those bridges in preparation for your interview.
  4. Chat to our student buddies. Ask them about their experience – of the selection procedure and their time at school.
  5. Register for an Academic Challenge.

Apply to EEI or BMEI at the Johns Hopkins Engineering Innovation for Summer 2021

Designed for intellectually curious high-school students, the Johns Hopkins Engineering Innovation’s online summer courses allow curiosity to flourish through imaginative, hands-on STEM-based activities.

Registration is now open for summer 2021.

Offered virtually this summer, Explore Engineering Innovation is designed by trusted scientists and engineers from Johns Hopkins University, so you can be sure the academic rigor and ingenuity runs deep throughout the course. Participants build a spaghetti bridge, program a microcontroller, pitch an imaginary product or service, and more. Students also have the opportunity to earn college credit.

In Biomedical Engineering Innovation students model biological systems and design experiments to test their models. They use engineering principles to solve problems that are biological, physiological, and/or medical. Ever wonder how to improve your body’s strength, efficiency, or reaction time? Test your own theory during the independent research project. Students who earn an A or B will receive three college credits from Johns Hopkins.

Watch a short video that highlights how the innovation are reimagining engineering—one future at a time.
