The following programmes on the page are taught in English, unless otherwise mentioned. Winter courses are also available every January. Participants are welcome to apply for any summer programme if they meet the eligibility requirements: the UvA Summer School also offers a variety of summer programmes taught in Dutch.

The Claremont Colleges

The Claremont Colleges — Claremont McKennaHarvey MuddPitzerPomona, and Scripps Colleges — are united by a unique spirit of collaboration and connectivity that influences every part of academics, athletics, and student life. The “5Cs” are literally located across the street from one another, so students can attend a small, tightly-focused college even as they enjoy the benefits of a bigger, multi-faceted campus.

Students are invite to attend The Claremont College’s upcoming virtual programs for prospective students, families, and counselors to learn more about the shared and singular approaches to liberal arts education.

During the program you’ll discover what makes the unis consortium special, and hear more about their distinctive missions. After the presentations, you’ll have a chance to ask questions to the presenters.

Are you curious about what life is like at the 5Cs? Our community members are excited to share! This session features a panel of 5C current students who are eager to answer your questions.


Registration for each event will close 24 hours before the event start time. There is a 1,000 person limit for each event, and we will have a waitlist. If on the waitlist students will be notified via email if space becomes available for the event in which you are registered. Event details and access information will be emailed to said student after registration. If on the mailing list for multiple Claremont Colleges, you might receive this invitation more than once. You only need to register once each program you’d like to attend!

University of Reading – Update!

Working Together in the New Term:

With the start of new term, Uni of Reading would like to continue working with students to continue their journey to the University. Now available to meet with students in virtual sessions and deliver talks on various topics such as UCAS application process, personal statements, subject taster sessions with academics and many more. Students will interact with expert academics in their relative fields and learn more about their subjects, research, and interesting facts about the University of Reading.

Excellence in Medical Science:

University of Reading lecturers have received great demand recently from media outlets looking to give their viewers and readers expert opinions and guidance on the current Covid-19 pandemic. The Uni of Reading are home too many excellent researchers in medical science who are also expert communicators. Dr Simon Clark is just one of those academics, an expert microbiologist, as well as teaching on modules for our Biomedical, Microbiology and Biochemistry undergraduate students. Simon works in the world-renowned Institute for Cardiovascular & Metabolic Research  researching how certain bacteria can cause cardiovascular disease and ways to prevent it. Here he talks about his current research in free online course on Microbiology:

Warwick Economics Summit Registration Deadline

The Warwick Economics Summit reminds you that the deadline for registration for the summit is January 17, 2021.

Further speakers have been confirmed, including Ursula von der Leyen (President of the European Commission), John Hart (Nobel Memorial Prize Winner 2016); Angel Gurría (Secretary General of OECD Council); Asuzsanna Jakab (Deputy Director General of the WHO); and both Jose Ramos-Horta and Professor Muhammad Yunus (each Nobel Peace Prize recipients). Many more expert speakers will be joining the event to discuss panel topics such as Green Transitions; Colonialism; Global Inequalities; and Central Banks. Click here for pre-registration.

Economics Summit February 2021

University of Warwick student-run Economics Summit is looking forward to opening up places to pre-university students for the first time this year. Whether or not students are looking at Warwick for study, they would be very welcome to apply for tickets to join. Previous speaker line-ups have included Nobel Prize-winners, heads of international banks, political leaders (including European ex-Prime Minsters),leading commentators, and editors of flagship economic journals.

The full line-up for 2021 is not released, but Warwick can now announce that speakers will include Janet Yellen (ex-Chair of the Federal Reserve); John Ridding (CEO of the Financial Times); and Antoinette Monsio Sayeh (Deputy-Managing Director of the IMF). Further details on the speakers will be unveiled on 1 January…


  • What is it? Warwick Economics Summit is a student-run society, now in its 20th year. Our students bring together university delegations from across the world at an annual convention. This year the Summit will be held online.
  • When is it? Friday 5 February to Sunday 7 February 2021 (online)
  • Who is it for? For the first time, Economics Summit will be open to pre-university students aged 16-18. Students from all disciplines are welcome, but it will particularly interest those keen on International issues in Economics (spanning into Politics and International Relations; Sustainable Development; and potentially this year European Integration, the place of Brexit and much more)
  • Are tickets limited? Yes, there are only a few hundred tickets available, and these tend to be allocated very quickly after the deadline.

  • When is the deadline? The Society have agreed to extend the deadline until 17 January 2021.
